Well, I suppose the best thing about having a website, blog or Facebook page devoted to your totally self indulgent artsy fartsy side is that you get to display all your self indulgent artsy fartsy photos.
I decided to throw a few photos up that I have just been taking on the way to different shoots, or just being out with my camera doing something as exciting as shopping.
This one below was taken on the way home from a shoot quite late on a Saturday night. Loved all the old advertising they have on Museum Station and was patient enough to wait for this woman to do something with her hands before I shot.
Also on Museum Station at the same time I took this one of the station in general. Always loved old classic photos of railway stations and the like. It was quite grainy as I was using a high ISO, but I added more grain by sharpening it even more.
I have always been fascinated by photographs with action blur in them. Even though photographers shoot stills, I have always been drawn to deliberate blur showing movement. Recently on a trip to the city I used a shutter speed of 1/40 to create blur and movement. The following are some examples.
Finally I had cause to pop into Surry Hills recently during the day. It happened to be raining and I love the city when it rains. The last two photos are of a back lane in Surry Hills, and the cafe area in Central Station.
